	100mile Mini Run for Cancer Research UK 100mile Mini Run for Cancer Research UK - UPDATED 04/07/05 " The Minis are coming..." Camisade Mini Club Based up near London, with members from Camberley to Basingstoke, have only been together for 4 months and have organised their first event for charity. The 100 mile endurance drive from Fleet Services on the M3 (southbound) will take the group of Minis all the way down to Bridport late at night on Saturday the 23rd of July. On the journey down there we will most likely be stopping at a wedding reception in Basingstoke to collect a fellow mini club member for the journey, so feel free to throw ribbons on your mini! Upon arrival in Bridport we shall be parking up in the carpark behind Kings street. People attending the run should bring pillows and sleeping bags as we are saying in a 2 bedroom house overlooking the carpark. toast and hot drinks will be provided in the morning and we shall take the opportunity to clean the cars using the finest buckets and water. WE will elave the car park in a convoy at approximately 11:30-11:45am and drive to "Stonebarrow Hill" (on the A35 jsut outside of Bridport) CHARITY BBQ..... A local chef will meet us there and provide us with a BBQ (food served around 12:30pm)..... anyone wishing to join the BBQ must pay 5pounds on the day towards the cost of food and all profits from this BBQ will go to Cancer Research UK. We must have confirmed numbers for the BBQ by the Thursday 21st to allow for time to order the meat etc. PHOTOGRAPHER.... A local professional photographer will be joining the BBQ around 12:45pm to take photos of the Minis, as it is a charity event he will be doing this for free. so make sure you're mini is shiney and smiling. After the food is finished and we have enjoyed the sunshine and fun we shall drive in a convoy down to the beach and back through town. There is no time limet on the end of the day, as it is likely a few of us will head for an evening drink before heading off home. LOCAL MINIS... Camisade Mini Club warmly invites any Mini owners from the area to join us on the drive to raise awareness for Cancer Research UK, The clubs contact details are http://drive.to/camisademiniclub or you could email direct at [email protected] for the organisers mobile number or any queries. Each car doing the drive on saturday will be sponsored to do the 100mile journey and any donations on the day are appreciated. we have raised 1951 pounds in sponsorship so far ... we are now hoping to raise more before the run on saturday.
